The men broke into an apartment in theTseung Kwan O region on Saturday, stole valuables and abducted a 29-year-oldwoman, authorities said.
周六，一名男子闯入将军澳地区的一间公寓，偷了贵重的物品并且绑架了一名29岁的女人，当局说。
They demanded ransom and the woman's familypaid 28 million Hong Kong dollars ($3.6m; £2.3m) for her release, local mediasaid.

The woman - who has not been identified -was found safe unharmed on Tuesday.

Police have released descriptions of fourof the men and made a public appeal to find them. They have also placedroadblocks on major routes to prevent them from leaving Hong Kong.

The men escaped in a white car aftercollecting the ransom payment, authorities said.

The BBC's Juliana Liu in Hong Kong sayswhen the territory was still a British colony, a number of high-profilekidnappings targeting the city's richest families shocked the public.
