The sound of silence

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked along narrow streets of cobble stone
Beneath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the light and touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw ten thousand people maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dare disturb the sound of silence
“Fool” said I, “you do not know silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the walls of silence
And the people bowed and prayed to the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning in the words that it was forming
And the signs said "the words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls and tenement halls"
Whispering in the sounds of silence

people talking without speaking.有的人在说着无聊的话语.
people hearing without listening.有的人在漫不经心的听着别人说.
people writing songs that voices never share.有的人在写着那些从不会被传唱的歌.
and no one dare.但没有人敢于去-

"fool" said i "you do not know."我说道:"愚蠢的人啊,你们不知道"
"silence like a cancer grows."静默会像癌细胞那样扩散.
"hear my words that i might teach you."听我的话,我才能教导你.
"take my arms that i might reach you."抓紧我的手,我才能救你.
but my words like silent rain-drops fell.但是我的话却如寂静无声的雨点落下.
and echoed in the wells of silence.徒然回响在沉静的天井中.
and the people bow prayed.人们仍然顶礼膜拜着.
to the neon god they made.自己塑造的霓虹灯神像.
and the sign flash out its warning.霓虹灯突然闪烁出警兆.
in the words that it was forming.警告的语句渐渐成型.
and the sign said "the words of the prophers.预兆显示:先知的预言
are written the subway walls tenement halls".都被写在地铁的墙上及出租公寓的走廊上.
and whispered in the sounds of silence.这告诫也在无声的静默中被轻声传送
