微型部落格服务软体Twitter今天停用一个自称西藏精神领袖达赖喇嘛（Dalai Lama）的帐号。

Twitter创办者史东（Biz Stone）告诉法新社，“此帐号因模仿他人而违反我们的使用规范，现已将帐号停用。”

7日建立的帐号twitter.com/ohhdl，短短2天便吸引了2万名追随者，成长率异常。

网页上的第一段讯息写道：“欢迎来到达赖喇嘛的Twitter官网，此网页由达赖喇嘛办公室管理。”

网页背景包括达赖喇嘛的官方照片及语录。

Twitter允许使用者传递140字之内称为tweets的简短讯息，这个微型部落格宣称，拥有超过6百万名使用者注册。



BANGALORE, INDIA:Microblogging service Twitterannounced on Monday that it has suspended an account that claimed to berun by the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of the Tibetans in exile.

The account that was created on Saturday had attracted nearly 20,000 followers in just two days, according to media reports.

"The account was suspended because it violated our terms of useregarding impersonation," AFP quoted Twitter co-founder Biz Stone assaying.

The background of the fake twitter page carried a photo of Dalai Lama,which was taken from the official website of the spiritual leader.

The 'tweet' read as "Welcome to the official Twitter page of HisHoliness the Dalai Lama - administered by The Office of His Holinessthe Dalai Lama."

Twitter claims that it has more than six million users of it service.

Launched in August 2006, the micrblogging site was in the news last month when the Twitter accountsof US president-elect Barack Obama, singer Britney Spears and otherprominent figures were hacked and fake messages sent out in their names.

达赖喇嘛（Dalai Lama）现在正步教皇本笃十六世（Pope Benedict XVI）的后尘，成为社交网络上的一员。今天他在著名的微博客服务商Twitter那里注册了一个帐号。
在Twitter上，达赖注册了一个不起眼的名字@OHHDL，尊者达赖喇嘛办公室（The Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama ）在今天早些时候发出一条信息，跟世界say hello！介绍达赖喇嘛的官方Twitter页面。
OHHDL成为达赖喇嘛的媒体发言人，并管理Twitter账户。就在过去的这9个小时内，OHHDL已经吸引了2000多个跟随者，也follow了大部分跟随者的twitter。

在写这篇文章的时候，该账户只发表了20条信息，其中包括招呼和感谢的信息。并给达赖喇嘛的Facebook和MySpace账号都做了链接，也与大多数Twitter社区保持联系。
