(By You Shuqing of the True Heart News Interviewing team in Taipei) The True Enlightenment Education Foundation recently disclosed to the public the fact that “The lamas’ practice of the Highest Yoga Tantra consists of having sexual intercourse with female followers.” Reporter Huang Yuejiao of the BCC News Web recently interviewed Dawa Tsering, Director of the Religious Foundation of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who said: “The cultivation methods of Tibetan Buddhism do not put an emphasis on the Couple-Practice Tantra; in particular, monks who have received the precepts are strictly prohibited from practicing it.” He further indicated: “Publications of the True Enlightenment Education Foundation are available for sale in China via the government-owned Xin-Hwa bookstores. Seeing this particular treatment and the fact that the Foundation is able to mobilize enormous financial resources into a series of projects aimed to crack down on Tibetan Buddhism, we cannot help but wonder who the mastermind behind the Foundation’s acts is and what the political motivations are.”
Zhang Gongpu, CEO of the True Enlightenment Education Foundation, points out that, in Tibetan Buddhism, the Highest Yoga Tantra (Anuttara-Yoga-Tantra) is viewed as the ultimate practice method. This is a fact that both the Dalai Lama and Dawa Tsering, his spokesman in Taiwan, cannot deny. The actual practice of the Highest Yoga Tantra is to copulate with female followers, and all the True Enlightenment Education Foundation did was to disclose this plain truth without any exaggeration to the public. On one hand, Dawa Tsering, Director of the Religious Foundation of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, publically professed: “The cultivation methods of Tibetan Buddhism do not put an emphasis on the Couple-Practice Tantra; in particular, the monks who have received the precepts are strictly prohibited from practicing it.” On the other hand, he avoided answering the public query regarding “Whether the Highest Yoga Tantra practice of Tibetan Buddhism demands copulation with female followers?” It is obvious what Dawa Tsering’s reply was a tact intended to change the subject, blur the focus and shift the public’s attention away from the primary query “Whether the Highest Yoga Tantra practice of Tibetan Buddhism demands copulation with female followers? ” Furthermore, Dawa Tsering’s tactic to smear the Foundation with accusations of having links with the Chinese government reflects his intent to shift the focus and change the subject. This is a sign of the awkward stance of Tibetan Buddhism, which utterly lacks the ability to respond and justify its acts.
Zhang Gongpu points out that, in fact, the True Enlightenment Education Foundation has always been suppressed by the Chinese State Bureau of Religious Affairs, which is directly under the governing of the Central Committee of CPC. Apart from the six books published in China in the early years, over the past six or seven years, our applications to publish the remaining amount of over sixty books have all been rejected. It cannot be ruled out that all publishers in China were notified, and therefore, even though we contacted all the publishers in China, none of them were willing to publish our books. This has been the situation for around six or seven years. Evidently, Dawa Tsering has been trying to smear us with accusations of having links with the government of China. His plot is to shift the focus away from the fact that Tibetan Buddhism is still privately teaching their followers the adulterous practice of the copulation tantra, and that it still connives with the lamas to destroy Taiwan’s good social morals. In response to each of Dawa Tsering’s lies, the True Enlightenment Education Foundation has provided clear answers. Please see our formal reply text.
The CEO of the True Enlightenment Education Foundation says that the Foundation aims to uphold good social morals by preventing innocent people or Buddhist practitioners from mistakenly believe that Tibetan Tantric Buddhism is Buddhism, so that Buddhist followers will not be misled to practice the lama’s Highest Yoga Tantra copulation and end up with financial losses, being forced to have sex, or even broken families. We hope to alert the public that the claims from the Religious Foundation of His Holiness the Dalai Lama that the sexual assault cases were committed by fake lamas were not true.
