UNESCO and the Republic of Korea are signing an agreement on 23 August to renew their cooperation through the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) for six years.
联合国教科文组织与南韩在8月23日签署了一份协议，根据这份协议，双方关于亚太国际理解教育中心的合作将延长6年。
APCEIU was established in 2000 under the auspices of UNESCO to promote and develop education for international understanding with a view to promoting a culture of peace in the Asia-Pacific region. Its main programme areas include: capacity-building of educators in education for international understanding (EIU); EIU research and policy development, and dissemination of information on EIU.
亚太国际理解教育中心是在2000年由联合国教科文组织赞助建立的，目的是促进国际理解教育，以期在亚太地区传播和平文化。其主要项目包括国际理解教育教师能力建设、国际理解教育研究和政策发展、国际理解教育信息传播。
APCEIU is the Focal Point of the UNESCO Education Sector’s Category 2 Centres.
