Sonnet 18

    Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

    Thou art more lovely and more temperate:

    Rough winds do shake the darling buds ofMay,

    And summer's lease hath all too short adate:

    Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines

    And often is his gold complexion dimmed;

    And every fair from fair sometime declines,

    By chance or nature's changing courseuntrimmed;

    But thy eternal summer shall not fade,

    Nor lose possession of that fair thouow'st;

    Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in hisshade,

    When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st:

        So long as men can breathe ,or eyes cansee,

        So long lives this, and this gives life tothee.

  欲将君比夏日兮，

  君更可人更温婉。

  狂风摧落夏蕊兮，

  堪叹夏日促又短。

  天眼时开如火兮，

  金颜常遭乌云掩。

  群芳终将凋零兮，

  运数天道终难变。

  君之长夏不凋兮，

  常伴君身乃娇颜。

  当君活于吾诗兮，

  死神何敢把君唤？

  但使世人有眼兮，

  吾诗赋君命万年。
