A blaze at a shopping centre that killed 17 people was started by a nine-year-old boy "playing with a lighter", Chinese police said in a statement. The inferno broke out on the fourth floor of the building in Huizhou in Guangdong province on Thursday afternoon. 据广东警方称,惠州一个购物广场内的火灾导致17人死亡。火灾由一名9岁男童玩打火机引发,大火瞬间蔓延整个建筑的四楼。
The young suspect has been detained for questioning. 目前警方正对这位男童进行调查。
