Here’s some good news for China’s sports fans. Olympichurdler Liu Xiang,who was forced to pull out of the Beijing games last August because of injury,has arrived back home after undergoing surgery in the U.S. The Chinese nationsuffered a collective heartbreak last summer when Liu’s ankle injury preventedhim from competing and the hero’s return is bound to make a lot of people happy.


中国体育迷们的好消息。奥运会跨栏运动员刘翔在美国接受手术后现在已经回家，刘翔在去年八月份北京奥运会时由于受伤而被迫退出比赛。去年夏天，当刘翔的脚踝伤病迫使他退赛时，全中国都感到心碎。现在，英雄的归来一定会让很多人感到开心。

Hisreturn is also good news for Liu’s many internationalsponsors including Coke, Visa, Nike and McDonalds, not to mention dozens of localChinese brands.Liuis expected to begin his training immediately, and no doubt that meansincreased exposure from the likes of Coke, which benefited from some enormous freepublicity over Chinese New Yearwhen a spot featuring Liu was broadcast as part of nationwide televisioncoverage of the festival.

The $2.4 billiontakeover of the juice company would be a huge prize for Coke, and no doubt, itsdecision to stick by Liu through all his trials and tribulations has helpedcreate plenty of goodwill with Beijing, and as my colleague Bruce Einhorn haspredicted, the deal is likely to go through before the March 23 deadline。

楼上，不是支持可口可乐收购吧，呵呵。
不会忘记雅典刘带给我的巨大欣喜。那天一点我还守护着电视机，就是想见证第一个中国人在田径短跑项目上给中国拿一枚奖牌。
虽然之前，我也曾经想过，如果对手发挥失常，我们也许走狗屎运能拿金牌，可是我想到了金牌，却没有想到可以用平世界纪录的成绩来获得它。原来，我们并不需要靠对手的失常才可以拿金牌。
知道吗？那一刻，最重要的不是金牌，而是作为中国人的扬眉吐气。
你不是圣人，你还年轻。无论将来你的路是好是坏，但是只要懂得感激的中国人，都不会忘记你曾经带给过我们的骄傲和自信，无论失望还是伤心，起码都应该懂得宽容。因为，你给我的已经很多，而我回报宽容理所应当。

顺便说一下，我还很喜欢你的师兄陈雁浩，那时候觉得他好帅，特别是脖子上挂着项链，在跑步中规律的晃动，简直帅呆了。虽然，他只拿过亚运会冠军，可是我真的觉得，其实体育带给我们更多的是美，而美可以让我们自己的生活更有意义和快乐。其实已经足够了，金牌不过是额外的奖励。
