Q1: Why do you choose to learn Chinese?

问题1：你为什么选择学习中文呢？
中文和西班牙文相比，那个更难一些？
你能小小地概括一下美国，西班牙和中国文化不同吗？
Rebekah：
It is nice to meet you all. Thank you for having me.
Q1： I want to learn Chinese because I love to experience different cultures and languages. I will be studying International Affairs next year at the George Washington University in Washington DC. I believe that China is a rising world power and hopefully I will be able to work with China in a career in the future.
I found Spanish to be easier to learn that Chinese since I started speaking Spanish when I was very young and have had many years to study it. Hopefully I will become more comfortable speaking Chinese the more I study it.
对于第一个问题：我要学习中文是因为 因为想体验一下不同的文化和语言。我快要进入华盛
顿大学习国际关系学。我相信中国正在逐步成为世界强国，我希望以后在我的职业
生涯里可以从事与中国有关的工作。
我发现西班牙语比中文容易学。因为我很小的时候就开始讲西班牙语，而且学习了多年。我希望随着我学习中文，说起中文来 会越来越顺畅。

Q2: When did you visit China? How long did you stay?
Was there any change in your view of China after your Chinese tour?

Rebekah：
I visited China this past summer for five weeks with a study program called ChinaQuest. The program was really ecxiting. I studied Chinese at the Beihang University in Beijing. We traveled by night train from beijing to xi'an, zheng jou, shang hai, and inner mongolia.
After my visit, my views of China have changed. The people are very friendly and some welcomed us into their homes for traditional Chinese dinners. I love 火锅！
上一年夏天，我去了中国，为期５个星期，是参加一个叫“中国探索”的学习项目。
这个项目真的很让人兴奋。我在北方大学学习中文。那时，我们乘晚上的火车从北
京出发，到西安，到郑州，上海，和内蒙古。
通过这次旅行，我的中国观发生了改
变。那里的人民很友好，一些人邀请我们到他们的家里去吃传统的晚餐。我很喜欢

Q3: We know you are really good at dancing. Couldn’t it be possible that you will upload your dancing video to AC?
Do you know about the Chinese folk dances of the 56 ethnic groups? Will you have interest of learning some?

Rebekah：
I dance on a team for my school. We do many kinds of dance including hip hop, jazz, modern, and lyrical. Two years ago, I studied in Spain for a month and took Spanish Flamenco dancing classes. I enjoy learning the different forms of dance around the world. I would definitely like to learn some Chinese traditional dance.
While I studied in China, I took some 太极课. They were very fun and calming. I enjoyed them very much.
在学校里，我参加了舞蹈团。我跳很多的舞蹈，包括嘻哈节奏舞，爵士舞，现代舞，
抒情舞。两年前，我在为期一个月的西班牙语的学习中，我参加西班牙弗拉门戈舞
蹈班。我陶醉于学习这些世界上不同形式的舞蹈。我也很喜欢学习一些中国传统的
舞蹈。
我在中国学习期间，我参加学习了一些太极课。很有趣，很让人平静。我太喜欢了。

Rebekah：
I signed up and went with a school group to see the inauguration. It was very very cold the morning of the inauguration. There were so many people there. It seemed like an endless sea of cheering people. I am excited to have our first black president, however, I am also anxious to see if things will change now that he is president. I am curious to see if he will live up to what he said he will do. I feel this way of all politicians, though. Often they say one thing and do another. I have hope that things will improve.

Q5: What’s your major impression of your touring around over 20 countries?

Rebekah：
I have traveled to many countries. I have visited China, Turkey, India, Botswana, Vietnam, Fiji, Spain, France, England, Brazil, Ecuador, Greece, Mexico, Belize, Jamaica, Canada, Zamia, Zimbabwe and many others.
After exploring these many different places and having the opportunity to meet with people and experience their cultures first-hand, I have grown to realize that I want to work internationally. My love for foreign countries grows every time I visit a new one. I look forward to volunteering at a summer camp for orphans in Zambia this summer. I hope to help the children there.

探索过许许多多的地方，有与那里的人们接触的机会，直接第一手地体验他们的文化之后，我认识到我要参加一个国际性的工作。每当我去到一个新的地方旅行后，这都增加了我对这些国家的喜爱。
我希望这个春天可以参加一个为赞比亚的孤儿提供自愿服务的夏令营。我希望去帮助那里的孩子。
