BEIJING—China's Commerce Ministry expressed opposition to the U.S. Trade Representative's recent inclusion of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.'s Taobao e-commerce operation on a list of "notorious markets" for piracy. The ministry also called for the U.S. to be more objective in judging China's record on intellectual-property rights.

商务部新闻发言人沈丹阳在商务部例行新闻发布会上表示，对于美国贸易代表办公室将淘宝网再次列入恶名市场名单表示高度关注和严重不满。
