This is the real danger for China. Western powers have been hoping (and trying by various means like supporting Tibetans in exile, Turkistan movement which includes Xinjiang, Chinese who are anti-Chinese government, human-right activists, etc.) that China will break into seven or eight pieces so that these divided "China" will be too small and too weak to be a challenge to them in all aspects!
