子曰：“學而時習之，不亦說乎？有朋自遠方來，不亦樂乎？人不知而不慍，不亦君子乎？”

[白话文]

孔子说：“学习之后，又经常去复习它，常常会有新的领会，这不是令人高兴的事吗？有志同道合的朋友从远方来，不也是令人快乐的吗？别人不了解我，我也不因生气而怨恨人家，这不也是有修养的君子吗？”


[英译文]

The Master said, "Is it not pleasant to learn with a constant perseverance and application? Is it not delightful to have friends coming from distant quarters? Is he not a man of complete virtue, who feels no discomposure though men may take note of him?"

The Master said, To learn and at due times to repeat what one has learnt, is that not after all a pleasure? That friends should come to one from afar, is this not after all delightful? To remain unsoured even though one's merits are unrecognised by others, is that not after all what is expected of a gentleman?

听说Leys翻译的比较有特点，希望大家能比较学习

这个西方早有翻译了。。。不需要我们翻，我们翻的没他们好。。
现成的都有了，都是几百年前西方人翻的。。不涉及版权。为什么还自己翻呢？

不清楚的是、您从哪里得出『我们要自己翻』这样的意思呢

有可能您搞混淆了——编注只是添加详细注释而已，再版不等于重译

是学习英语，不是翻译。翻译只是为了加深英汉相互理解，尤其是通过英语的转译可以从侧面看出论语中一些古文词句的含义，从而进一步加深对汉语的理解。
