Tests for swine flu are carried out by the Health Protection Agency
A further 12 people have been diagnosed with swine flu, bringing the UK total to 229. The Health Protection Agency said the new patients included an adult and a child in London whose infection was said to be "travel related".
Three children in the Midlands also have the virus, but the cause was not yet known, the agency said.
A number of schools, including Eton, have been forced to close in recent weeks because of swine flu's spread.
The latest cases involve 11 people in England and one in Scotland.
As well as the patients in London and the Midlands, an adult in north-west England has been diagnosed with the virus. They have been linked to another patient already confirmed to have swine flu.
Another four cases have been diagnosed in the east of England, one in Yorkshire and Humber and another in Scotland. All are said to be travel related.
