When We were called Sick man of Asia, We were called The Peril. When We are billed to be the nextSuperpower, We are called The threat.
When We were closed our doors, Yousmuggled Drugs to Open Markets. When We Embrace Freed Trade, You blame us forTaking away your jobs.
When We were falling apart, You marched in your troopsand wanted your fair share. When We were putting the broken peices togetheragain, Free Tibet you screamed, it was an invasion! ( When Woodrow WilsonCouldnt give back Birth Place of Confucius back to Us, But He did bought aticket for the Famine Relief Ball for us.)
So, We Tried Communism, You hated usfor being Communists. When We embrace Capitalism, You hate us for beingCapitalist.
When We have a Billion People, you said we were destroying theplanet. When We are tried limited our numbers, you said It was human rightsabuse.
When We were Poor, You think we are dogs. When We Loan you cash, You blame usfor your debts.
When We build our industries, You called us Polluters. When wesell you goods, You blame us for global warming.
When We buy oil, You calledthat exploitation and Genocide. When You fight for oil, You called thatLiberation.
When We were lost in Chaos and rampage, You wanted Rules of Law forus. When We uphold law and order against Violence, You called that ViolatingHuman Rights.
When We were silent, You said you want us to have Free Speech.When We were silent no more, You say we were Brainwashed-Xenophoics.
Why do you hate us so much? We asked. No, You Answered, We dont hate You. Wedont Hate You either, But Do you understand us? Of course We do, You said, Wehave AFP, CNN and BBCs
What do you really want from us?
你们到底想我们怎样？一首显示了这个星球过去150年历史的诗歌。由一个安静沉默的中国人所作。
当我们被称作东亚病夫的时候，我们被称作传染病。当我们即将成为下一个超级大国的时候，我 们被称作威胁。
当我们关上国门，你们走私鸦片来试图打开这个市场。当我们拥抱自由贸易的时候，你们谴责我们夺走了你们的工作。
当我们曾要分崩离析的时候，你们派军队来，目的是想“公平分享（瓜分）”。当我们又顽强地合并在一起，你们喊叫说要西藏自由。
所以，我们试了试共产主义，你们恨死共产主义了。那然后我们又拥抱了资本主义，可你们同样恨我们用了资本主义（抢了你们饭碗）。
当我们有了十几亿人，你说我们在毁掉这个星球。当我们试着限制人口，你们却说我们违反了人权。
当我们穷，你说我们是狗。当我们借你们钱，你们谴责我们欠款。
当我们开始我们的工业，你说我们污染。当我们卖你们商品，你谴责我们全球温室效应。
当 我们买石油，你说我们剥削和灭绝非洲人。当你们为石油而战的时候，那就变成了“解放伊拉克人民”。
当我们迷失在混乱和暴动中，你要来给我们建立规章和法 律。当我们维护法律打击暴乱，你们说我们违法人权。
当我们沉默，你说我们应该言论自由。当我们不再沉默（反击你们），你说我们都被洗脑了。
为什么你们这么恨我们？我们问道。你们回答：不，我们不恨。我们也不恨你们。但你们是否了解我们理解我们？当然，我们当然理解，你们答道，因为我们有AFP CNN和BBC。
