This TV/Video program as part of April/4th Media Talk Show programs was made (taped) on September 19, 2011 in Pyongyang, DPRK (North Korea). We had our first dialogue in Korean with Dr. Prof. Ri Jonghyuk last April. In that sense, this is a follow-up program as our second dialogue with him. As he said in the interview this time, it seems becoming a regular dialogue program of our media with a DPRK government figure.

We wish, too, it could become one of our major ongoing dialogue programs. However, we do wish it could be done not only with the DPRK government but also with other government figures from those Six Party member nations in the Northeast Asia region.

As well-known to outside world, Dr. Ri is a Member of DPRK’s Supreme People’s Committee (Parliament), Senior Vice President of DPRK’s Asia-Pacific Peace Committee who is also Chairperson of DPRK-EU Parliamentary Friendship Committee who speaks 5 different languages including German, French, Italian in addition to his English. He’s by far one of the most frequently featured, appeared, and talked government officials representing his nation in its relations to EU nations, US, particularly South Korea and many other nations around the world.

He’s not young but still looks very young and very active in his lifelong daily work commitment as a scholar, expert, and government official. When he was asked how come he looks so young in his late age and how he could keep seemingly an excellent health condition, he said he daily walks about an hour in addition to the nonstop and mounting issues surrounding his nation and around the world have made him not to rest eve a bit.
