Occupy Wall Street Has Hot Chicks, Needs Plan
http://blog.sfgate.com/abraham/2011/10/01/occupy-wall-street-has-hot-chicks-needs-plan/
Occupy Wall St, which was largely unknown until the massively stupid actions of the New York Police Department brought what they were doing to the World’s attention. The Occupy Wall St protestors were right: the whole World was watching that ugly scene of a few days ago.
But now, Occupy Wall St has two problems: one good, the other bad. First, the “movement” draws hot chicks. This is what was noted at Zennie62.com:
The Occupy Wall Street Movement has something the Tea Party could never claim to have: hot chicks at its protests quoting Goethe. This woman, photographed by David Shankbone during the protest at Wall Street, looks like a cross between Laura Croft and Norma Jean. It’s possible to see a whole line of fashion spring forward just from this photo – the latest in protest wear.
Additionally she, whoever she is, totally alters the image of the female protestor: gone is the dirty-haired earth girl with hairy arm pits; fashion models take to the streets.
This photo should give Occupy Wall Street detractors pause. Women like her bring out two things: men and the media.
But where’s the freaking plan? That’s the bad problem.
What bothers me about the “Occupy something” organization is the sheer lack of a consistent message or plan. That’s borne of the organizations stated desire to copy protests in other countries as part of its mission. Trouble is the protests in Greece, Egypt, Tunisia, and Spain were all about a policy or program, not about another protest.
So now, we have this… Look, let’s face it. The Occupy Wall St operation was supposed to draw 20,000, but it only produced 1,000. The other demonstrations around the USA were too small to think about. The overall problem is this lack of a clear message. And since nature hates a vacuum, what’s taking place of a clear message are the words of whoever you talk to.
The result is an almost laughable stream of things a persons against, rather than for. From whatever war to some defense contract, to the stock market, the Occupy Wall St operation’s become a way station for the whiners of the World.
That’s the problem. A plan that can be describes in simple terms is needed. Something like: we’re against reductions in social spending. Period. Simple. Clear. To the point. I can back that.
