Forget global warming for now. Let's talk dirty air.
If you believe that human-induced global warming is a hoax designed to line the pockets of greedy scientists and Al Gore, it might be easier to acknowledge that fossil fuels are fouling the air.
Here's a chart from the Los Angeles Times that shows how China's Ministry of Environmental Protection interprets air quality versus those environmental alarmists at the U.S. Embassy. What Beijing calls "slightly polluted" qualifies as "hazardous" by the diplomats.
Dirty air might be a stronger agent for change than the threat of global warming.
According to PEW Research, in 2010, only 34 percent of Americans believed that "global warming is occurring
mostly because of human activity." That's down from 50 percent in 2006.

And Halloween 2011 marks the day that the world's population reached the seven-billion mark. That's seven billion people aspiring to an energy-intensive higher standard of living and facing the choice of basing their behavior on petroleum fuel and coal or renewable sources.
This video from NPR on global population says "it all depends on how we manage our food, water, and energy."

I suppose the first graphic, comparing the Chinese pollution ratings to a Western source is akin to the Chinese Vs SolarWorld issue.
I’ve heard that SolarWorld and the Western solar industry is just trumping up data because they can’t compete with the Chinese. It is because they are all fat and lazy with a skill set to make a he’ll of a advertisement for an overly expensive product.
Yes, the Chinese are a real bellwether for accurate deployment of information as it pertains to their “perception” of themselves and their attempt to dominate the world.
    Please review graphic 1 again.

What are you talking about?! China doesn’t have any so-called “pollution” at all, or any other real environmental problems for that matter because there aren’t any lawsuits ..... right? I mean, that is what you use to determine whether social costs exist or not. C’mon get with the program, you’re slipping.

When directly in the air over an area yes, but brown cloud of pollution over China has been shown via satellite measurements to cause warming, similarly for pollution over S. Cal.  I would conjecture this means CO2 and other GW gases have greater effect overall.  Also, particulates have been found in snow on glaciers and at the poles in significant quatity where they definitely increase heat absorption from the sun and increase snow melt.  Less snow and ice means less solar reflection and more heat absorption from exposed ground or water.  (white snow reflects way better)  So does it cool the earth more or warm it more?
