BEIJING (AP) -- China's sweeping driveagainst corruption has again turned to the country's sports programs, with thehead of the national volleyball program the latest to be targeted.

The ruling party's corruption watchdog saidin a statement Tuesday that Pan Zhichen has been placed under investigation for''serious violations of discipline and law''; the standard term used forcorruption. No details were given although such investigations routinely leadto trials and convictions.
