Everyone at Arsenal Football Club is shocked and upset to hear of the current situation in Sichuan Province. This disaster has taken so many lives and we just want the people of China to know that our thoughts are with you all at this very difficult time.

The forthcoming weeks will be extremely hard for many thousands of families in Sichuan Province and words cannot heal the pain that is being experienced at this current time. However, I know that the Chinese people are very strong and will join together as a country in order rebuilds the lives of the many people affected by the disaster.

I just want to say that although China is far away from London, you are all close to our hearts at this time.

       阿森纳俱乐部的每一个人都在得知四川省现在的状况后感到震惊和不安。这场灾难已经夺去了上万人的生命，在此我仅仅想让身处灾区和所有中国人民知道，在这最困难的时刻我们一直挂念着你们。
    接下来的几周对四川灾区数千万的家庭而言会异常艰难，此时此刻我知道自己已无法再用文字来宽慰遭受这场灾难的灾区人民的痛楚。然而，我知道中国人民会十分坚强的面对这一困境，你们一定能团结一心起来帮助灾区的人们重建他们的家园。
    我仅想在此向中国人民说，虽然中国和伦敦相距万里，但是此时此刻，我们的心和你们在一起。
