Dear Sir/Madam in the Great British Olympic Association,
I write to you in light of a recent incident happened during the 2008 Olympics Games in Beijing
where one of your fellow athletes (Mr. David Davies)'s unacceptable behaviour after the 10km
man's swimming marathon has drawn great attention amongst people around world :

than-one-904991.html
According to various international media sources, Mr. Davies shouted and then splashed bottle
water on the face of a female Olympic official on Aug 21st as she repeatedly urged him to attend
the medal ceremony due to time restraint whereas Mr. Davies wanted to have his interviews
done first. After the incident, the coach of Mr. Davies, Michael Scott joked with no regret, "he
was just shaking a champagne bottle ......".
Mr. Davies and his coach Mr. Scott showed absolutely no respect to the official and their actions
and language were clearly offensive. The image of UK as a nation has obviously been damaged.
I strongly urge you to take responsible actions including urging him and his coach to issue a formal
public apology to the female official who was insulted by them.
Thank you and I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Yours Sincerely, |
