这首歌出自莎拉布莱曼2000年的专辑《La Luna》,乐曲改编自贝多芬第九交响曲第二乐章...原曲的氛围相当庄严，特别突出大提琴哀怨紧张低沉的音调..在这首改编曲曲中，用冰冷的钢琴引出整个乐曲旋律作为前奏，而后段配上唱诗班的合唱使整个乐曲显得大气..莎拉的美声也恰好符合这氛围，细细品味歌词，结合乐曲，充满着紧张悬疑，具有戏剧张力。意大利语填词人是费.拉乌，灵感来自于德国文豪歌德的一首诗《魔王》（Der Erlkönig），貌似也有类似的民间传说..关于歌德《魔王》的更多资料可以参考http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Der_Erlk%C3%B6nig

乐曲改编自贝多芬第七交响曲第二乐章，这首曲子在尼古拉斯凯奇电影《先知Knowing》中出现过两次：影片开始后不久凯奇在房间里独自沉思时、接近末尾出现世界末日场景时。另外在贝多芬传记题材影片《永恒的爱》（Gary Oldman主演）中几次出现都很隐约。
