全世界热爱和平的人民期盼已久的奥运盛世，马上就要开幕了。我们全体中华儿女都相信，在国际奥委会的大力支持下，中国人民有能力办好这次世界运动盛事。我们也有理由相信，这必将是一届彪炳千秋的体育盛会。
众所周知，这段时间国外某些反华势力对我们承办的这届奥运会横加指责，处处刁难，企图破坏这次奥运盛事，但是,我们相信，这些不和谐的声音和现象毕竟只是一小部分。我们更相信世界人民是爱好和平的，天下肯定还是好人多。
中华民族有着悠久的热情好客的传统，伟大的思想家孔子说：有朋自远方来，不亦乐乎！我们之所以要申办奥运会，就是为了要向世界人民展示我们的悠久文化传统，30年改革开放的伟大成就，和我们热爱和平、热情好客的民族精神。因此，我们应该伸出双手，热烈欢迎所有外国朋友到中国来旅游，到北京作客。
为了表明我们全体人民支持北京奥运会，期盼世界和平，欢迎全世界友人和各国体育健儿来华参加奥运的坚定立场，我倡议：请大家在这里留下你对北京奥运会，对外国体育健儿以及国际友人最真诚的祝福吧！

Welcome people from the whole world to be guests to Beijing:
One world, one dream! This dream belongs to China, and also to the whole world.
The flourishing Olympic Game which have been long anticipated by people of the whole world who love peace will soon open. We whole Chinese believe that Chinese people will be able to hold this world sports meet successfully with the fully support of the International Olympic Committee. We also have reasons to believe that this Game must be a sports meet that will be a splendid memory for many years.
As is well known, some anti-China forces abroad have been unreasonably rebuking us and creating difficulties for us for some time, aiming to destroying this flourishing Olympic Game. We firmly believe that these inharmonious sounds and phenomena are a small fraction at all. We would rather believe that world people love peace more, and there are more good people in the world.
Chinese nation has a long tradition of friendly hospitality. The great thinker Confucius said “Isn’t it pleasant to have friends from afar?”. The reason why we want to hold the Olympic games is to display our long cultural tradition, the great achievement of 30 years reform and opening, and our national spirit of our peace-loving and hospitality. Therefore, we should spread our two hands and warmly welcome all foreign friends to come to China as guests. In order to demonstrate the standpoint that all of us support Beijing Olympic games and expect the world peace, welcome all friends and athletes from the whole world, I hereby propose that everyone of you leave your most sincere blessings to Beijing Olympic games, foreign athletes and international friends.
