Happy Farm). But let's not speak generally and not individually. --I made no claims to 'know' China better than you do (I assume you're Chinese yourself? Forgive me if the assumption is false), but I do have to throw out a rough truth: That when it comes to Chinese culture and history, there are some Sinophile lao wai out there who do know more fact-wise than many Chinese people themselves. This is not the fault of the people, who are great. This is the fault of the you-know-what-ment. Last: I pointed that my students have been on both ends of the spectrum--from complete censorship-lovers to small-time dissidents. The purpose of the entire reply was to make it known that it would be a bit silly to underestimate the force of the famous firewall.
