　　The Indian tiger isn't nipping the dragon's tail anymore.
　　In the boom, India managed a few years of 9 per cent economic growth. That led some to imagine the tiger could catch up with the stellar Chinese economy, which was growing at double-digit rates.
　　Well, not anymore.

　　One part of the thesis was that India would sail through a global slowdown, while China's export-centred economy would be crippled.
　　India generates less than 20 per cent of GDP from exports, while the Chinese share is twice as high.
　　Yet, India's GDP growth still lags China's -- 5 per cent against 7 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2008. That continues a long-term pattern: for the past decade India's growth rate was 7 per cent, compared to almost 10 per cent for China.

　　Unfortunately, India doesn't have the resources to fund a big stimulus programme. China's fiscal deficit is 3 per cent of GDP, while India's consolidated deficit is more than 10 per cent.
　　The Indian government's anti-recession package could amount to a mere $8 billion, or 1 per cent of annual GDP. But that pales against China's three-year $585 billion plan, equivalent to 18 per cent.
　　不幸的是，印度没有建立大规模刺激计划的资金资源。中国的财政赤字是GDP的3%，而印度的赤字超过10%。

　　1) India is ELEPHANT, i.e. moving slowly, when did it go termed as Tiger, Tiger economies are the ones of Malaysia Indonesia, et all.
　　2) China started atleast 2o years before India actually entered, we took off in real sense since 2000 where as China took off atleast in 1990.
　　3) China has been a soverign nation, we were created less than 60 years ago.
　　We have a lot more to do but looking back we have done a good job, we could have done better but we could have been worse off !!!
　　Wait for another 10 more years and then talk !!!

　　1） 印度是大象，要是被人当成老虎了那肯定是走得慢。老虎经济是那种马来西亚印度尼西亚之类的。
　　2） 中国至少比印度早20年启动，我们真正意义上的起飞是从2000年，中国是至少从1990年。
　　3） 中国一直是一个专制国家，我们建国不到60年。
　　我们还有很多事要做不过回头看看我们的事业干得挺好，我们也许做的更好不过我们也可能做的更差劲！在等十年到那时候再讨论这个问题吧！

　　China became a super power by aligning with USA against USSR by acting them self as a counter weight to USSR. They opened up their economy in the late 1970s, 12 years before India did. But here we say some stupid ideologies of fighting the imperialist power - USA.
　　中国靠扮演一个和苏联衡重的国家来和美国站在一线。他们在70年代开放经济，比印度早12年，但是我们这里说的是一些愚蠢的对抗美帝国主义的意识形态（好像和前面没有逻辑么…………）
　　
　　China brilliantly allied with USA, brought 100s of billion dollars and started building Special Economic Zones and filled up their coffers which has now ballooned to 2 trillion dollars!!! This is how they became a super power not by some stupid ideology of communism/imperialism by doing things practically They put their country’s interest 1st rather than some jingoistic ideologies

In fact now is the time that india will do better than china cause china is a lot more dependent on US for its growth.

　There can be many theories supporting and opposing Indias superiority over China.However there is one fact that will make India the winner is that its belif in God in all his names and manifestations. Chinese are non belivers in any form of God or relegion. Beleive me a land that does not respect God will never accquire no 1 position in the world. It is only a matter of time when you see the huge state of China simply vanish in to oblivion.

　　Who told you Chinese dont believe in GOD/religion. Come on, wake up. Don’t speculate/assume things without knowing the realities. China has all the religions in their country but their law never allow any religion to create any problems in the public life as well as in the politics. Most of the chinese believe in Budhism, they hv Christianity, they have Islam, they have Jewish, they have Taoism; in fact, there are few Hindu temples too located in China. 　　We have more than enough freedom to all nonsense. Let us stop talking about freedom and think about the rights of people. Simply living in democracy means we are not going to be like a western country. We should take a note of strict rules from chinese also.

　　I fully agree with you. The Red revolution caused 6 million deaths. The poor have no voice. The state is ruled by a handful of feudal satraps. Beyond their dependence on US economy there is nothing in China.

　　Agreed there are shortcoming in Indian system but they are also prevalent in China in gargantuan proportion. A Chinese cannot borrow money from bank that only loans out to public sector companies or to a few influential person. Their banking system is about to collapse just wait and see

　　You are wrong. The mighty US economy- collapsed and being held up by China and Japan now (their money loaned to USA in the form of Bonds). Please- do not ell me about the US economy. I lost $ 400,000 in my 401K account, so much for US economy. USA now has 12 trillion dollar deficit, while China has 1.8 trillion dollars in savings. China has tons of investments in Africa and South America already, they are not collapsing.

　最近印度忙着大选,没什么新闻,偶然看到印度人民捉了几个强奸自家女儿的猛男,也不想翻过来恶心人.如今为了选举,印度各方势力想尽办法,比如人民党提出了"黑钱"一事,说印度有大笔财富藏在瑞士银行,只要选它,它就把这些钱搞回来造福印度....有没有黑钱,有多少黑钱都还没谱呢,敢这么忽悠人,只能说印度人太单纯了.

　　Indian money stashed in the Swiss Bank has become a focal point of debate, especially after the Leader of Opposition and the Bharatiya Janata Party's [Images] prime ministerial candidate L K Advani [Images] raised the issue on Sunday. If elected, the BJP has vowed to bring the black money back home. Though the Congress dismissed the idea, the Swiss bank issue is slowly becoming a hot election issue.
　　In fact the BJP also plans to carry out a mock election across the country on April 6 where people will have to cast their vote indicating whether Indian money in Swiss banks should be brought back to India or not.
