Nobody, not even fools, would be 'in favour' of becoming slaves of China.
The point that is sought to be made is that the gap between China and India keeps widening faster and faster in possibly every area of human endeavour. But the area where this gap has become most striking is in the matter of social support to the bottom most sections of society. China's poverty eradication program has gone from strength to strength and China has reached a level where the U.N has declared in it's latest human development report that poverty in China has become a thing of the past (though China itself has not claimed as much and says that poverty of any kind will be fully eradicated by the 2030s - they have also given a detailed roadmap about how they will be achieving this). Compare all this with the Indian situation where the poor at best receive cynical treatment from the administration in almost every state and are condemned to remain in their miserable tiers for ages to come; all because the poor themselves in most states do not even have the basic understanding or education to know what is really good for them !! This is extremely ironical, since democracy was meant to have given to India a lot more.
Please do not feel ashamed of reports such as this one appearing on rediff; don't worry, China is hardly bothered about what India and Indians think about it, they are much more bothered only about what the developed world and the Chinese people themselves thinks about it !!!
